PREMIERE OF 'PIQUE DAME'
Lexus fancies 'Pique Dame'
The melodramatic love affair 'Pique Dame' by Tchaikovsky deeply moved it's audience.
On October 28th, Lexus hosted the premiere of ‘Pique Dame’ by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky at the Vienna State Opera, the first of two prestigious premier events Lexus sponsored this season.
Arriving at the opera house, the very centre of Vienna and for some the centre of operatic world culture, a prominently displayed and dramatically illuminated new GS 450h symbolized to by-passers and opera guests Lexus’ commitment to the Vienna State Opera, which herself nurtures young talents to pursue perfection and to become world class artists.

After the official welcome by Dr. Kaiser from the Lexus Europe PR Department, the Opera’s Chief Dramaturgist Dr. Lang provided insights to the background of the performance. That briefed, guests fully enjoyed this vibrant new production in the adjacent Imperial Box.
For the ‘final’ finale, Mr. Holender, Director of the Vienna State Opera invited the Lexus guests together with the entire cast backstage to an After Premiere Party, making the entire visit a memorable ‘Genchi Genbutsu’ experience.
Complementing the cultural experience, Lexus guests were excited to experience first hand the advantages of Lexus Hybrid Drive, when they were given the option to drive or get chauffeured in an LS 600h for an impressive tour around Vienna.
Some though wanted to "dig deeper" and even decided to drive a Lexus LS 600h to Vienna. Praising the car, they pointed out the marvelous and relaxed ride experience, but furthermore the average fuel consumption of only 8.4 litre per 100km across their entire route of 1300km. Not shrinking away from the distance to cover, they were already looking forward to get into the LS 600h for their trip back home...
